Migrating from previous accounting system to ProfitBooks:

Let's see how to migrate from previous accounting to ProfitBooks:

You can import most of the data like customers, vendors, products, invoices and purchases. Our customers normally specify closing balances of previous bookkeeping system as opening balance in ProfitBooks.

Let's see all one by one:

1) Importing Customers
You can import customers via following steps: Income > Customers > New Customer

You will get the Import option. You can export the customer data in Excel or PDF format.

2) Importing Products

You can import your products list via following steps: Items > Products / Services > Import

You can see the tips mentioned while importing the products. Also, a sample CSV download file option is there too.

3) Importing Chart of Accounts

You can import Accounts via following steps: Accounting > Chart of Accounts > Import

You will get the Import option.

4) Importing Vendors
You can import Vendors list via following steps: Expenses>Vendors

You will get the Import option. You can export the Vendor data in Excel or PDF format.

You can also import the Invoices and Purchase Bills in ProfitBooks.
